A tip-in by Baye Ndongo at the buzzer in overtime was the game-winner for the Yellow Jackets, as they defeated the Golden Bears, 90-88. The tip-in was Georgia Tech's 40th point from inside the paint in the game, compared to 34 for Cal. Ndongo finished the game with a career-high 26 points to go with 13 rebounds. Naithan George also scored 26 points, and he had eight rebounds and three rebounds. Duncan Powell added 19 points, 15 of which came in the second half. For Cal, Jeremiah Wilkinson scored 25 points before leaving the game in overtime with an injury. Andrej Stojakovic had 22 points, four steals, two assists, and two rebounds.
