For the 13th time in a row and 21 of the last 23 meetings, the Cavaliers have defeated the Yellow Jackets. This time Virginia defeated Georgia Tech 75-61 in Charlottesville on an evening where former coach Tony Bennett had a banner raised into the rafters. UVA had 21 assists on 30 made field goals. Isaac McKneely scored 20 points with four made three-pointers. Dai Dai Ames also made four three-pointers on his way to 18 points. Andrew Rohde added 11 points and nine assists. For Georgia Tech, Naithan George scored 20 points, with six rebounds, and five assists. Duncan Powell had 18 points.
