Miami's Charlie Moore hit a halfcourt shot as the buzzer sounded to win it for Miami. Both teams were hot from three-point range with Virginia Tech tying a season high with 13 made three-pointers and Miami connected on 11 threes. Kameron McGusty had 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists to lead the Canes. Jordan Miller had 18 points and seven rebounds. Charlie Moore finished the game with 13 points, six assists and five steals. For Virginia Tech, Keve Aluma led the Hokies with 14 points. Hunter Cattoor, Darius Maddox, and Nahiem Alleyne each scored 13 points.
