According to multiple sources, rising junior Carson Desrosiers is planning to transfer from Wake Forest University. His destination is unknown at this time, and we wish him best of luck in his future endeavors.
Desrosiers averaged 4.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 21.6 minutes per game this year. He figured to play a prominent role in a young Wake Forest rotation next year at the center position, so his leaving at this time is extremely befuddling and questionable. The sophomore played extremely well in the last few games and showed the ability to stretch defenses with his outside shooting.
There has also been speculation about Anthony Fields potentially transferring as well, but we've not heard anything to substantiate those rumors at this juncture. If anything comes up with regards to Fields, we will keep you as informed as possible.
