Boston College is coming off a 3-9 season and was winless in the ACC this past season.  They were ranked as one of the top defenses in the nation but the offense struggled tremendously.  Heading into this season, the staff has some new pieces that they hope can change things around but here are three games that Eagle fans should circle for 2016.

1. Georgia Tech

It is the opening day game and it is played in Ireland.  A lot of factors will be around this game but one could say that this is an important game for both teams to start out the year with a possible win in conference play.  The Eagles haven’t played Georgia Tech since the 2012 season, where they loss 37-17 but with the defense that only gave up 83 yards per game on the ground and 2.4 yards per carry, this could be one to watch and a great win for whichever team wins after the season they had last year.

2. Virginia Tech

Would say this is the second biggest game, even though this is on the road.  They have games at Florida State and against Clemson, but those are two that could really be hard to win against two teams that could compete for a National Championship.  So we looked at Virginia Tech, the third weekend in September, and really their third straight road game.  The Eagles lost last season 26-10 but they do own two wins previous of last year.  It will be interesting to see how the defense will look in a hostile Lane Stadium under their new head coach, but most of the games between these two old Big East foes have always been a tight one.

3. Wake Forest

Boston College is 6-3 against the Demon Deacons but lost 3-0 last season at home.  Now they head to Winston-Salem this season for the last game of the season.  This might be their highest percentage rate of grabbing an ACC victory, as both team’s struggled last season and it might not change this coming season.
