Three Questions in the ACC for Week 5

It is another week, with another set of questions All Things ACC has going into the weekend, as most teams are in play.

There are undefeated records on the line, possibly College Playoff on the line, and bragging rights, as All Things ACC is looking at these three questions to be answered after Week 5.

1. Can Louisville Win The Division?

Now we know there is a ton of season left and ANYTHING can happen in the world of college football, but if the Cardinals defeat Clemson, do you see anyone else taking them down in the ACC so that Clemson or FSU takes the crown in the division?  Unless injuries or something else dramatically happens, we don’t see it, so this game in our eyes is for the Atlantic Division?  Coming into the game, Clemson was favored at home but now it is the Cardinals that find themselves in the drivers set and could notch their second Top 5 win of the season.  And just think if quarterback Lamar Jackson does what he has been doing against this Clemson defense?  Some might just hand him the Heisman right then and there.

2. Can Wake Forest go 5-0 to start the season?

It has been almost nine years since the Demon Deacons have won five straight and they haven’t had this much success since the 2006 season.  Now, they hit the road for their second ACC conference opponent in NC State, who certainly can take home the win with their offense and defensive ability.  Without Kendall Hinton, Wolford will be the one that running the ship and the defense will have to shut down the Pack offense.  Right now, it is amazing to think that NC State is favored by 11 points in this matchup…

3. Is Brian Kelly Fired after a loss to Syracuse?

This might not be about an ACC team, but Notre Dame does play Syracuse, so we are going to bring them into the Week 5 discussion.  We have seen the short leash for Les Miles at LSU and many think that it could be the same way for Coach Kelly if they start the season 1-4.  A loss to Duke, when they were favored by 21 points, was a shocker and now they take on Syracuse this week, as they are favored by 11 points.  They Cuse won’t be scared in this one and have the weapons to pull off the “upset” against the Fighting Irish.  If they do, how many people think Brian Kelly will be out as head coach?
