On Tuesday, the ACC announced the 2023 football season schedule that is different from the 2022 two-division format. It was revealed that 14 teams would compete in a single division, and the top two teams would meet in the ACC title game. The new ACC schedule will entail a 3-5-5 format in which each team competes against three permanent opponents and five rival teams that will be alternated yearly. This new futuristic ACC football scheduling model is designed to allow huge enhancement for schools and conferences. With this new format, student-athletes can now compete with every school, both home and away, within a four-year period. What better way to bet for your favorite football team than using Betway. Betway is a reputable gambling company that is best known for its high odds and past cash payouts. Read on to learn how the new ACC schedule will affect the 2023 football season.

How will the new ACC schedule affect the New Season?

The new ACC format and first four-year model will begin with the 2023 football season. The schedule will be based on a 3-5-5 structure, with each team playing against its primary rivals annually and then playing the remaining ten teams in the conference at least twice every four years. This new schedule will eliminate the Atlantic and Coastal divisions, thus creating a one-all football league. The first top two ranked teams will determine the end-of-season conference championship game based on the conference-winning stats. Additionally, this new ACC format will provide more favorable opportunities for other teams to prove themselves in the field with an easier gaming schedule. The ACC football league currently has 16 teams, but the number is expected to increase with the new arrival of the Big East and Notre Dame.

Which teams may stand to gain the most from the new ACC format?

The main benefit of the new ACC 3-5-5 format is that all competing teams will play against each other in the league at least twice before the season ends. However, the main challenge experienced when developing this new model after using the previous two-division format since 2005 was determining who the team’s three primary rivals would be. The ACC directors had to take into consideration the team's traditional rivalries, appealing matches, balanced travel, and proximity, among many other factors. For instance, a team in the North, such as Boston College, would have to travel to Miami and Florida State in the same season.

Virginia Tech and Miami would probably benefit the most from playing against each other. This is because both of them are at their peaks. Also, the two schools will gain financially as the match usually has stronger home turnouts. You can also be involved in this epic match by predicting who will win using the Betway app. Betway Group has been at the forefront when it comes to sponsoring sporting organizations, athletes, events, and teams. They have also partnered with the Professional Players Federation, which seeks to develop, promote and protect the collective interests of professional athletes.
