The ACC's three biggest questions of week 10

What are the big questions for week 10?

Can Clemson play a 60-minute game at Notre Dame?

We’ve seen Clemson light it up on the scoreboard. We’ve seen Clemson lockdown defensively for extended periods. We haven’t seen the Tigers play a full 60-minute game on both sides of the ball. Can it happen at Notre Dame? I think the Tigers can beat the Irish without their best game, but they need a quality effort. Notre Dame is a physical team and playing at home with a chip on its shoulder after a disappointing first half of the season. If Clemson is playoff caliber team, they’ll beat Notre Dame, but they need more consistency. The spotlight is on Wes Goodwin who’s been uneven in his first season as defensive coordinator.

Who stays ranked after the Wake Forest vs NC State matchup?

Wake Forest was walloped at Louisville in by far their worst performance of the year. NC State’s season was falling apart before freshman QB MJ Morris rallied the Wolfpack to a comeback win over Virginia Tech. The loser of this game probably falls out of the top 25 rankings for the first time this year. Wake Forest has the offense, but NC State has a solid defense. Which will crack first? With Morris emerging at QB, it seems like the Wolfpack have more balance, but no chance Wake Forest Sam Hartman has another nightmare game. This should be fun.

Is Syracuse out of gas?

Since Syracuse started the year 6-0, they’ve lost their last 2 games. The loss to Clemson seemed to have taken a lot out of Syracuse, because it was a sloppy effort against Notre Dame who just wore the Orange down. We knew Syracuse’s time in the sun would come to an end, but can they recapture the magic at Pittsburgh? Pitt is a desperate team, who is trying to get bowl eligible. Syracuse probably needs this game for a chance at an 8 win regular season. Are they out of gas though?
