It’s been awhile since any statements have been released about an ACC Network, but Syracuse AD Daryl Gross had some interesting comments on this very topic recently.
“There is a great vision there, and a vision to come to fruition. The (ACC) Commissioner (John Swofford) has tremendous vision and passion for wanting what is right for the conference. We all know it is the right thing. Eventually, we are going to get there….
….”We are very fortunate that our partnership is with ESPN. Where some of the other equity conferences have to combo it a bit. Ours is tied directly into them. We expect to have a more enhanced, robust partnership with them one day with the ACC Network.”
As we’ve said many times on this blog, we feel strongly that an ACC Network is a matter of when not if. I don’t see how the comments of Mr. Gross can be construed as anything other than positive for those that would like to the ACC have their own network.
