Up 20-17, it looked like Stanford was driving to lock up a victory, but an interception by Kilinahe Mendiola-Jensen completely changed the momentum of the game, and the Rainbow Warriors drove down the field and kicked a field goal in each of their final two drives. Stanford quarterback Ben Gulbranson completed 15 of 30 passes for 109 yards. Running back Micah Ford was the Cardinal's best player, running for 113 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. For Hawai'i, quarterback Micah Alejado went 27-39 for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Pofele Ashlock caught nine passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.
