The Florida State Seminoles and the SMU Mustangs played a classic in Dallas that saw the Mustangs coming away with an 83-80 win. The 'Noles had an opportunity with just over a second remaining, but the Ponies forced a tie-up on an inbounds pass, and SMU was able to salt away the game from there. Jaron Pierre Jr. had a huge game, scoring a game-high 28 points on 11-18 shooting, including 4-10 from three-point range in the win. Pierre Jr. was clutch, making multiple incredible plays down the stretch. B.J. Edwards added 19 points and 9 rebounds for the Ponies while Robert McCray V led FSU with 21 points in the loss.
