Memphis can put some points up in a hurry. Wake Forest can too, especially late in the year. Its an under the radar fun looking game.
| Dec. 26 | First Responder | Dallas, Tex. | 1:30 p.m. (ESPN) | Boston College vs. Boise State |
There are a lot worse locations than playing in Dallas. Boston College can finish with an 8 season. Boise State is solid, but these aren’t the same version as late 2000s Boise State. I like BC’s chances.

A dis-service to Paul Johnson to be selected for this bowl for his final game. To add insult Minnesota fans have an easy trip. Even Birmingham due to proximity to Georgia Tech would have been better. If Georgia Tech can put the selection snub behind them, they draw a team they should be able to beat, and send Johnson out a winner.

This is a very even looking matchup between Temple and Duke. Give David Cutcliffe a month to prepare and I like his chances against any team that can’t overwhelm him talent wise. Temple is not a team that can do that.

This is a boring matchup that was played last year. Wisconsin isn’t nearly as good as they were last year, and Miami ended the season with some momentum. Miami has a better shot to beat Wisconsin that last season, but it will basically be like a home game for the Badgers.

Take the over whatever it is. I don’t expect any defense in this one and it should be a very entertaining offensive game. It would be a magical season if the Orange win this bowl and finish with a 10 win season. They have a lot of fire power, but I don’t know if they have enough to beat West Virginia.

Good location, but bad matchup for Virginia. South Carolina and Jake Bentley shredded Clemson’s defense apart through the air, and defensively they should be healthier. Expect a lot of South Carolina fans to attend. This won’t be easy for Virginia.

Semifinal | (2) Clemson vs. (3) Notre Dame |
Clemson draws the most beatable opponent of anyone in the top 6, but that doesn’t mean it will easy. Notre Dame will come in with a big chip on their shoulder, and Clemson past their front 4 defensively has to play better than they have most of the year. The Tigers still should win.

Virginia Tech went from no bowl, to a great trip for their fans in 2 weeks. Cincinnati is coming of a 10-2 year, but I got a feeling the Hokies are starting to find themselves at the right time. They look primed to build some momentum going into next year.

This is not a vintage Stanford team, but this looks like a tough draw for a Pitt team that won the Coastal. Pitt’s problem is the offense went south to finish the year, and the Cardinal’s are still a physical team on defense that nearly beat Washington and Washington State. This doesn’t look good for the Panthers.

Is NC State ready to beat an opponent with as much talent as Texas A&M? This is a huge opportunity for NC State to garner some real national attention and win 10 games in a season.
