Well here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2018 season. As usual we hope you enjoy the rankings.

Previous and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen |
Defensive Linemen | Linebackers | Cornerbacks | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Tommy Sweeney, Boston College

Senior Tommy Sweeney led Boston College in receptions last year with 36 catches for 512 yards. He was a 3rd Team All-ACC pick last year and at 6’5″, 255 lbs has NFL size. Sweeney could go as high as the 2nd or 3rd round in next year’s NFL draft.

2) Ravian Pierce, Syracuse

Ravian Pierce quietly had a 29 catch season with 4 TDs. Syracuse blog NunesMagician might be a bit biased, but they think he has the potential to be one of the best TE prospects of the 2019 draft.  I can see it too, and he could have a break out 2018. I expect he’ll be a much bigger part of the Orange offense this year.

3) Daniel Helm, Duke

With 22 receptions 261 yards for a nearly 12 yard per catch average, Daniel Helm had a solid junior season. He’s a preseason All-ACC selection by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview (2nd team) and Athlon Sports (3rd).

4) Evan Butts, Virginia

Evan Butts could be a real featured player in Virginia’s offense this year. After a 32 catch season, he seems primed for an even bigger 2019. Butts was one of the more reliable offensive players for Virginia last year.

5) Brandon Fritts, North Carolina

Brandon Fritts had a solid 2017 with 25 receptions and 4 TDs. WalterFootball.com thinks Fritts is one of the 15 best draftable TEs for 2019.  He tore his ACL in the spring, and his ability to recover and play will determine his NFL future and season. If he gets on the field, he’s a good one.
