Well here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2019 season. As usual we hope you enjoy the rankings.

Previous and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen |
Tight Ends | Defensive Linemen | Cornerbacks | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Isaiah Simmons, Clemson

The ACC is loaded with talented linebackers, and Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons is another one. He’s is projected as a NFL first round pick, and is all over the pre-season All-American lists. He had 97 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss. USAToday calls him the best linebacker in College Football.

2) Shaquille Quarterman, Miami

Miami has the best linebacker unit in the ACC…. period. Shaquille Quarterman is coming off first team All-ACC 2018, and is on several 2019 pre-season All-American lists. NFL mock drafts also have him projected to be a mid to late first round pick.

3) Michael Pinckney, Miami

Michael Pinckney is the second Miami linebacker on this list. The senior has been a stud since his arrival at Miami. He was a freshman All-American 2016 and an honorable mention All-ACC player in 2017 and 2018. He had 74 tackles and 11 tackles for loss. He also 3.5 sacks last season. Some scouts say he’s a bit undersized for the NFL at 6-1, but he’s still a next level talent.

4) Rayshard Ashby, Virginia Tech

I guarantee that Virginia Tech’s defense will be better than last years. One of the best players on that defense will be Rayshard Ashby who is coming off a 105 tackle season. He also had 9.5 TFL for loss last season. Along with Dax Holliefield, the Hokies have a stout linebacking crew.

5) Justin Strnad, Wake Forest

Justin Strnad also had a 105 tackles 2018 season.  According to to draftsite.com, Strnad is a possible 3rd or 4th round NFL pick.  Definitely keep an eye on Strnad this upcoming season. He’s one of the stars of the Wake Forest defense.
