1) Micah Kiser, Virginia

It’s been a rough go of things in recent years for Virginia Football. One bright spot has been the play of All-American LB Micah Kiser. CBSSportsline ranks Kiser the number #1 2018 NFL draft eligible ILB in the country.

He is projected to go in the 1st or 2nd round of the NFL Draft. His 11.2 tackles per game led the ACC and placed Kiser 3rd in the country in that category.

2) Tremaine Edmunds, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech might have the best linebacker unit in the ACC. Tremaine Edmunds is the first of two Hokie linebackers on this list. He had 106 tackles last year with 18.5 tackles for loss.

He could go as early as the 2nd round of the NFL draft. UPI.com ranked him one of the top 5 LBs in the country.

3) Kendall Joseph, Clemson

With Ben Boulware finished with his time at Clemson, Kendall Joseph becomes the leader of the Clemson linebacker core. WalterFootball.com ranked Joseph the #2 draft eligible ILB in the nation, and believes he has the potential to be a 1st round NFL pick.

4) Andrew Motuapuaka, Virginia Tech

Andrew Motuapuaka is a tackling machine. He totaled 114 last season. Not bad for Virginia Tech to have a couple of LBs with combined over 200 tackles. He was a second team All-ACC player and Motuapuaka and Tremaine Edmunds form the best LB tandem in the ACC.

5) Ben Humphreys, Duke

If you’re looking at the linebackers on a pre-season All-ACC team you’ll probably find Ben Humphreys somewhere on those lists. He had 106 tackles and 11.5 TFL.

Humphreys was a 4-star recruit that was one of the best linebackers in High School, and now he’s one of the best linebackers in the ACC.
