The ACC has the best cornerbacks in the country… period. This list is loaded with All-Americans and future NFL draft picks. Let’s check them out.

Previous and Upcoming Rankings

Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen | Tight Ends | Defensive LinemenLinebackers | Safeties | Special Teams

1) Kendall Fuller, Virginia Tech

If there was an All-American team last year Kendall Fuller was on it. If there is a pre-season All-American team for this year Kendall Fuller is on it. He’s a lock down corner that’s a sure fire 1st round NFL pick, and many projections have him being the first cornerback off the board.  Fuller is a fluid player with great footwork. He might be even better this year, as he fought various injuries last season.

2) Jalen Ramsey, Florida State

It was so tough to put Jalen Ramsey second on this list. He is arguably the most versatile defensive player in the ACC, possibly the country. Ramsey has played the Star position at FSU which is the combination of corner, safety, and linebacker. Ramsey is every bit the 1st round talent that Kendall Fuller. I give Fuller the edge because he’s played more corner…. I guess. To be honest this is basically 1A and 1B. These are two elite talents.

3) Mackensie Alexander, Clemson

Who’s the heir apparent to Fuller and Ramsey as the ACC’s best corner? I’m going with Mackensie Alexander of Clemson. Only a RS sophomore, he has future All-America ability. He could come out this year, and with a big year could move into the 1st round of the NFL draft. There is that potential. I expect him to stay, and be at the top of this list next year.

4) Maurice Canady, Virginia

Maurice Canady at 6’2″ has the length NFL scouts covet. He was #2 in the ACC in pass breakups and passes defended. CBSSportsline.com has Canady as the #3 senior CB NFL draft prospect.  He’ll get drafted, but he could work his way up to as high as the 3rd round with a strong 2015.

5) D.J White, Georgia Tech

D.J. White has turned into a true impact player at Georgia Tech. He had 66 tackles and led the Yellow Jackets with 4 interceptions. No other ACC returning CB had more interceptions than White did last year. He is a physical corner with a knack for the big play.
