Possible Jordan Addison transfer could be end of college athletics as we know it

So I get on twitter Friday and see that Pittsburgh WR star Jordan Addison is possibly transferring to USC.

If this happens say good night to college athletics in any form as we know it.

College Football in particular and men’s basketball to a lesser but still significant extent was always a matter of the rich getting richer, but this would take it to a point of no return.

It’s an absolute wild west free for all, where college athletes go to the highest bidder.

Take the 40 biggest football programs and let them play in a semi-pro league. Why bother with classes?

The programs can be associated with the schools in name only.

Sorry Pat Narduzzi unless you have about $2 Million your best player on a team that would have started the year in the top 25 is probably headed to USC, Alabama, or the highest bidder.

Wait until NIL gets tied to performance or we have mid-season transfers of kids on teams competing for the post-season.

Jordan Addison is only the beginning of the end if he transfers.
