Pittsburgh Guard Khameron Davis will transfer

Pitt has opened an additional spot on its roster after Davis has decided to go elsewhere

It was already expected that Pitt would have a lot of roster turnover after this year, and per an initial report from Rivals that an additional spot has opened up.

The Post Gazette’s Craig Meyer went on to confirm the news

Khameron Davis wasn’t a huge contributor on these year’s team. After being a starter for 23 games last year averaging 24.0 minutes per game last year, his playing time was cut almost in half to 13.0 minutes per game and never starting. He finished the year averaging 2.5 points per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, and 0.7 steals per game. On a team that was wide open for someone to take playing time, Kham wasn’t able to find much, and makes it understandable why he’d decide to look elsewhere especially with another large class coming in.

Pitt has 7 players marked to return next year, with 3 commits for 2019 in the fold. With Davis’ departure, that means Pitt still has 3 more spots to work with. Considering how large the grad transfer market already is, Pitt will benefit from having some open spots to work with to bring in experienced talent.
