Pitt has chance to rebound after Virginia Tech loss

Pitt suffered a tough loss on Saturday against Virginia Tech, but the good news is that they have a chance to pick up a couple of more wins before the schedule gets significantly more difficult.

The Panthers will start off with Old Dominion this weekend and while nothing is a gimme, getting the program making their transition into the FBS ranks gives Pitt a good opportunity to pick up a victory. After that is another chance for a win against Navy. The Midshipmen won't be a guaranteed win, either, (especially on the road), but will give Pitt another chance to come out on top.

Pitt hasn't beaten the two heavyweights on their schedule this year, but they have beaten the ones they should have. This is a time when the Panthers really need to step up and continue to do that because the schedule gets a lot more difficult after these next two games. With a road game at Georgia Tech and then Notre Dame at home, Pitt needs to win against both ODU and Navy. If they do that, at 5-2, they'll have rebounded nicely from the loss to the Hokies and five of their last six games.
