NC State vs. UConn: The Wolfpack got tested in their season opener in East Hartford, Connecticut against UConn. A late interception by linebacker Payton Wilson sealed the 24-14 win for NC State. Brennan Armstrong had a strong performance in his first game in an NC State uniform. Armstrong was 17-26 for 155 yard passing the football, and he was the leading rusher, running the ball 19 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Houston ran the ball 13 times for 57 yards.
