The Fighting Irish had to rally in the second half to defeat the visiting Eagles, 68-64. Notre Dame trailed by as many as 13 early in the second half, but was able to pull off its largest comeback victory since defeating Boston College in two overtimes in February of 2025. Boston College only made 32.1% of its field goals in the second half, while Notre Dame shot 50% in the second half. Braeden Shrewsberry scored 12 of his 22 points in the second half. Freshman Jalen Haralson scored 17 points on 8-13 shooting. Fred Payne led Boston College with 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a block
