NC State went into Blacksburg and defeated the Hokies, 35-28. Quarterback Brennan Armstrong threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while also running for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver KC Concepcion caught seven passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns, ran the ball nine times for 44 yards, and he threw a 17-yard touchdown pass. For Virginia Tech, Kyron Drones threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 51 yards. Wide receiver Da'Quan Felton caught seven passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
