NC State football outlook and ATHLON All ACC teams

Well, here we are less then 100 days from the greatest time of year, COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

And the college football preview magazines and articles are coming out with their All Conference selections are coming out. ATHLON had their All ACC conference team released and NC State 9 players selected. 3 of those players, Ryan Finley, Kelvin Harmon, and Tyler Jones made 1st team, Garrett Bradbury made second team, Darian Roseboro and Terronne Prescod 3rd team, and Jakobi Meyers,Germaine Pratt and Jarius Morehead made 4th team.

9 players on the All ACC team is pretty impressive. This is why I believe that NC State can/will win another 8-9 games this season. Everyone is focusing on what NC State lost on defense. While those losses are pretty big, you have to look at what they bring back on offense, it’s pretty impressive.

The Wolfpack passing game should be almost impossible to stop with Harmon, Meyers, Louis, and Riley and a veteran QB in Ryan Finley (who I have seen as a 1st Round draft pick talent in next years NFL Draft). NC State’s offensive line should be stout and keep the pocket clean for Finley. Reggie Gallaspy III looks like the starting running back. There is depth at that position as well. Behind Gallaspy they have 2 talented freshman coming in in Trent Pinnix and Ricky Person.

This offense is going to be explosive and nearly unstoppable! It has the chance to be dynamic where you cannot load up on the run, or fall back to play the pass. If the defense comes together and is good, they don’t need to be great, just good. NC State should be an 8-9 win team next season
