The NC State Wolfpack secured the win over the Virginia Cavaliers 35-31 in a rare, non-conference matchup of ACC opponents. Running Back Hollywood Smothers carried the ball 17 times for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Wolfpack. Quarterback CJ Bailey threw for 200 yards and 1 touchdown on 16-23 passing. For the Cavaliers, running back J'Mari Taylor found the endzone three times on 17 attempts, collecting 150 rushing yards. Chandler Morris was 30-43 through the air for Virginia for 257 yards.
