Nick Saban says Miami head coach Mario Cristobal always tells him that the ACC is better than the SEC.

Nick Saban seems a little upset Mario Cristobal says the ACC is better than the SEC. Well whether you believe the SEC is better than the ACC or not, here are the facts: the ACC is 18-22 against the SEC the last 3 years. The ACC has a winning record against the SEC 2 of the last 3 years. That’s hardly absolute dominance by the SEC, but Nick Saban is entitled to his opinion.
With that said, Mario Cristobal can say whatever he wants about the SEC. Here’s why… the Miami Hurricanes own the SEC over the last 3 years.
They’ve played 5 games against SEC opponents; 3 of the SEC opponents were ranked, and 2 in the top 10, 2 were true games. They won every single game by an average of nearly 14 points. That’s dominance.
Not since Clemson went 11-3 against teams from the SEC from 2015-2019 has the SEC been so dominated by a single team. Boston College’s Bill O’Brien might sound a bit ridiculous saying the ACC is better than the SEC, but Mario Cristobal? He’s earned the right to brag, and brag however he wants.
