The ACC Tournament is going play a major role in where the ACC Teams end up in the NCAA Tournament. Let’s take a look where an ACC team could end up based on how many games they win.

(4) North Carolina (26-6) (14-4) - ACC Tournament Seed 1
Win 0 ACC Tournament Games: Projected NCAA Seed – 2
If the Heels lose on Thursday, that would drop them from the 1 line.
Win 1 ACC Tournament Game : Projected NCAA Seed – 2
This result may not cost the Heels the 1 Seed, but it would be up to the committee and I don’t like their chances to stay there.
Wins 2 ACC Tournament Games : Projected NCAA Seed – 1
If the Tar Heels make it to the Finals of the ACC Tournament, they should stay as 1 seed. I’d be very surprised if they lose a 1 seed at this point.
Win 3 ACC Tournament Games : Projected NCAA Seed – 1
The Heels are a lock 1 seed with an ACC Tournament Title.
(11) Florida State (24-7) (12-6) - ACC Tournament Seed 2
Win 0 ACC Tournament Games: Projected NCAA Seed – 4
If the Noles lose on Friday, I think they still stay among the top 4 seeds.
Win 1 ACC Tournament Game : Projected NCAA Seed – 4
Only 1 ACC Tourney win won’t move the needle.
Wins 2 ACC Tournament Games : Projected NCAA Seed – 3
Get to the ACC Tournament Finals and the Noles are a 3 seed.

A 2 seed is probably as high as FSU can go.

Win 0 ACC Tournament Games: Projected NCAA Seed – 5
5 is as low as I can see the Irish drop.

1 ACC Tournament win should get the Irish among the top 4 seeds.

A 2 seed is the ceiling for Notre Dame.

The Cards profile is good enough they won’t drop below a 3 seed no matter what happens in the ACC Tournament.

They’ll need a deeper run to move above the 3 line here.
Wins 2 ACC Tournament Games : Projected NCAA Seed – 2
A run to the Finals should land Louisville on the 2 line.
Win 3 ACC Tournament Games : Projected NCAA Seed – 1/2
Here is where is could get tricky. If the Cardinals win the ACC Tournament, they could be in the conversation for a #1 seed, but it’s not guaranteed like North Carolina.

Virginia as a 4/5 seed would be problematic for a 1 seed in the Sweet 16.

Syracuse’s RPI is terrible, but so is the bubble. Even if they lose to Miami, they should make the field… barely. They’ll be in the play-in game if they are knocked out of the ACCT without a win.
