Georgia Tech wing Jason Morris came into his senior year ready to make an impact for what should be a solid Yellow Jacket team.  Unfortunatetly, the injury bug has once again bit Morris.  Morris has a stress fracture in his left foot which will cause him to have surgery and miss the next 4-6 weeks.  It's the second surgery on that foot in the last 3 years.

Here's more from AJC.com.

“I can’t tell you how bummed out I was,” Gregory said. “He just can’t catch a break with those feet of his.”

Gregory said doctors told Morris he had the option of rest and rehabilitation, but there was a risk of injuring it worse when he returned. This way doctors felt he’d have his best chance of coming back at a higher level.

“Last year he went through rest and playing, rest and playing, and he could never get into the rhythm of the season, and he didn’t want that,” Gregory said. “The surgery gives him the best chance this year to have a great senior.”

Morris may have started the first few games for Georgia Tech until Chris Bolden returns from a team suspension.  It remains to be seen who will fill that role until Morris' returns.
