The son of Ted Roof has committed to Georgia Tech.  T.D. Roof will follow in his father's footsteps and play for the Yellow Jackets.  Ted played for Coach Bill Curry from 1982-1985.  The younger Roof looks to make his mark as a linebacker.  He is a 3 star prospect and is the 3rd 2017 commitment for Georgia Tech.

247 Sports rates Roof, 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, as a three-star linebacker. He also received offers from Central Florida, South Florida, Indiana and East Carolina. He is the third prospect to commit to being a part of the 2017 class and second in as many days, following Tallahassee lineman Connor Hansen on Sunday.
