On election day, Duke got their first taste of an outside opponent in their exhibition against Livingstone on Tuesday night.  After 5 minutes Duke led 21-5 and with only 12% of the precincts reporting, it was easy to call this race early.

Bad jokes aside, what can we take away from Duke's 115-58 win?

Duke will have no problem making the 3 point shot.

Duke made 15-32 three point attempts in the victory.  Matt Jones made 5-8 long range attempts which is even more impressive when you consider he made just 3 long range shots a season ago.  Grayson Allen, Quinn Cook, and Justise Winslow all made 3 shots from behind the arc.

While some Duke teams have been dependent on the 3 in the past, this one won't be.

Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow will put up big numbers ... but quietly.

Jahlil Okafor will get the press, as all the preseason reports have proven, but Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow will put up big numbers.  Winslow led the Blue Devils with 19 pts and added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.  Jones scored just 4 points but led the team with 11 assists and just 1 turnover. Okafor lived up to the hype as well, putting up 15 points and 5 rebounds.

Different players will shine on different nights.

In the first half Matt Jones scored 14 points while the second half Justise Winslow put up the big numbers.  Rasheed Sulaimon played just 14 minutes after some sloppy play after starring in the Blue/White game.  With their depth, minutes will fluctuate from game to game based on how players are playing and matchups.

Duke's next exhibition game is on Saturday at 1 ET against Central Missouri.
