The Duke defense held the Hawkeyes to only 39.7% field goal shooting and just three made three-pointers in the game. Jeremy Roach was the Blue Devils' leading scorer with 22 points. Mark Mitchell had 17 points and five rebounds. Kyle Filipowski had another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. For Iowa, Kris Murray had eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
