Duke's strong second half leads to 45-17 win over Elon

The Duke Blue Devils scored 35 points in the 2nd Half, stepping on the gas en route to a 45-17 win over Elon in the season opener. Sophomore Quarterback Darian Mensah connected on 27 of 34 passing attempts for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Blue Devils. Wide Receiver Sahmir Hagans caught 2 of those touchdown passes and Cooper Barkate led the team with 117 yards reaceiving. Que’Sean Brown had the biggest play of the game, a 78-yard punt return for a TD and the exclamation point on the night.
