17 - 10 In a battle of Tigers, the #9 LSU Tigers traveled to Clemson and defeated the #4 Clemson Tigers, 17-10. Clemson was outscored 14-0 in the second half. It is the first time LSU has won a season opener in six years. Cade Klubnik was 19-38 for 230 yards and an interception. Bryant Wesco Jr. caught four passes for 66 yards. Clemson as a team only ran for 31 total yards. For LSU, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was 28-38 for 230 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Anderson caught six passes for 99 yards.
