The Clemson offense was not the high-powered behemoth in 2021 that it had been in previous season, though head coach Dabo Swinney told the media at 2022 ACC Kickoff that he still believes in his quarterback, DJ Uiagalelei. Swinney compared Uiagalelei's struggles to that of Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence's struggles in both their first years as the full time quarterback for the Tigers. Uiagalelei commented on all that he had learned from 2021 and what he will carry with him into the 2022 season.
