When Jeff Capel took the Pitt job, the roles on the Duke coaching staff were guaranteed to change.

After Jeff Capel took the head coaching position at Pitt, Mike Krzyzewski was going to have to adjust his staff.  The first move was to promote Jon Scheyer and Nate James both to Associate Head Coach.  Nolan Smith had held the position as a Special Assistant and many believed he would fill the vacant assistant coach position.  Instead, ESPN has reported tonight that Chris Carrawell is returning to Duke to fill the vacant position.  Carrawell had been a part of Steve Wojciechowski's staff at Marquette for the past 3 years.

It remains to be seen if Nolan Smith stays as Special Assistant, follows Capel to Pitt, or decides to make another move.
