Cal vs. Oregon State: The Golden Bears opened up the 2025 season on the road in Corvallis and defeated the Beavers, 34-15. Cal was able to push around Oregon State and outgained them 122-65 in rushing yards. True freshman quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele completed 20 of 30 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball twice for 30 yards. Wide receiver Trond Grizzell caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. Running back Brandon High Jr. ran the ball 10 times for 41 yards and a touchdown. In his Oregon State debut, Maalik Murphy threw for 244 yards and ran for 15 yards and a touchdown. Trent Walker caught nine passes for 136 yards.
