The Eagles defeated the Hokies, 54-36. Boston College's defense forced 17 turnovers and held Virginia Tech to just 15 made field goals on 29.4% shooting. Since 1985, Virginia Tech's 11 points in the first half were the fewest points allowed to an opponent by Boston College in a half. Donald Hand Jr. led BC with 16 points on 7-18 shooting. Chad Venning and Jayden Hastings each scored eight points. For Virginia Tech, Mylyjael Poteat had 10 points and five rebounds.
