The Boston College Eagles went into Tallahassee and ran their way to a 28-13 victory against Florida State to open their season. Eagles quarterback Thomas Castellanos rushed for 73 yardsa and a touchdown and threw for 106 yards and 2 additional touchdowns. Running back Ky Robichaux rushed for 85 yards and 1 touchdown, and former Seminoles RB Treshaun Ward rushed for another 77 yards to go with 61 yards receiving and a touchdown against his former team. Boston College’s Max Tucker turned in a key interception and a 58-yard return into the red zone which then resulted in a touchdown for Boston College. FSU quarterback DJ Uiagalelei threw for 272 yards and a touchdown, but the FSU offense struggled to get on track in the loss.
