The biggest ACC news at the moment is the Virginia Cavaliers. They knocked off Ole Miss in their first CWS game 2-1. I said on twitter that the winner of that game would be in the championship series. I still believe that. We’ll definitely check in on a Virginia blog or two. It’s football preview time so there’s that too, and we’ll see what else the ACC bloggers  are discussing this week.

After Virginia had their walk-off game winning hit by Mike Papi, the Cavaliers turn their attention to the TCU Horned Frogs, their next opponent. Virginia blog Streaking the Lawn previews The Hoos game with TCU.  Two great pitching staffs are going to be going at it in this one. You can expect a real pitching duel here.

Tim Duncan won his 5th NBA Championship Sunday over the Miami Heat. Wake Forest blog BloggersSoDear calls him and deservedly so the greatest Wake Forest player of all time. By the way, hats to the Spurs. They played as fundamentally sound as you’ll ever see an NBA team. I was kind of rooting for Miami, but I really enjoyed watching how the Spurs play the game.

Florida State blog Tomahawknation has pictures of what of what the Seminoles new football facilities renovations will look like.  The football facility arms race is on.

Interesting article from Georgia Tech blog From the Rumble Seat, on perception on Georgia Tech as the little brother to the Georgia Bulldogs in the state of Georgia. I spent the 2nd half of my childhood growing up in Georgia, and I went to Georgia Tech. I know this perception really well, and it’s only going to change when Georgia Tech can starting beat the Bulldogs more than once a decade.

Louisville is having an ACC celebration on July 1, but Cardinal blog CardChronicle has some additional requests for that day.

DukeSportsBlog posted a ACCDN video of Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, and Jim Boeheim welcoming Rick Pitino to the ACC.  That’s incredible collection of coaching talent.
