We are getting right into the mix of the conference basketball season so let’s see where our ACC bloggers take us. I know I have to check in on the NC State bloggers after the Wolfpack’s huge win over the Duke Blue Devils.

To be the man you have to beat the man… says StateFansNation quoting the incomparable Ric Flair. That’s exactly what NC State did. The Wolfpack are starting to fulfill those high pre-season expectations. Actually other than the blowout loss to Oklahoma St, I’d say NC State is right on schedule.

Did you happen to see the post-game celebration in Raleigh. A young man on a wheelchair was rushing the floor and got knocked over only to be rescued by NC State basketball player C.J. Leslie. BackingthePack has the story.  Glad to say everyone was ok.

DukeSportsBlog asks is it time to change Duke’s starting lineup? It’s just one loss isn’t this pre-mature? I think the question is valid. No one knows how long Ryan Kelly will be out, and Seth Curry’s leg issues aren’t clearing up either. The good thing for Duke is there’s time to sort things out before going to Miami on January 23rd. Yes Duke does play Georgia Tech this week in Durham, but right now the Yellow Jackets try as they might can’t score on air.

Do you know who else got a big victory Saturday? The North Carolina Tar Heels got a must win down at Florida State to avoid starting the ACC conference play 0-3. TarHeelFanBlog was obviously relieved that UNC gutted out the win.

We’ve already seen Ric Flair, why not another member of the Four Horsmen? Arn Anderson who doesn’t pull punches when he’s talking. Neither does ShakintheSouthland as they start to review Clemson’s season. I think that is why STS put the Anderson clip up. For you young folks if you don’t know the Four Horseman look them up on youtube. That greatest wrestling group ever! WOOOO!

Let’s not forget about football. One of the biggest questions heading into the off-season is what is Virginia Tech going to do about their issues with their offensive coaching staff? We know changes are coming, but Hokie blog GobblerCountry says Virginia Tech fans just need to calm down about it.
