On Tuesday evening, Pitt topped Wake Forest 101-96 in double overtime. Wake Forest once again put themselves in a place to win a game, but mistakes and missed free throws (16-32, 50% from the FT line) did them in. Pitt avoided a bad loss thanks in large part to James Robinson who nearly had a triple-double in the victory with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Chris Jones (23), Michael Young (19), and Jamel Artis (19) each added double-figures in points for Pitt as well.
Tonight, we have a busy Wednesday with 5 games on the ACC schedule. The big game is UNC hosting Duke at 9 tonight. Game Sim likes the Heels in Chapel Hill, but the wild card is Duke's shooting and the point differential behind the 3 point arc. North Carolina's strength will be their size and the offensive boards in particular.
