Notre Dame picked up the team's first road win in ACC play with a 73-69 victory over Boston College.  Pat Connaughton (17 pts, 4 ast, 5 reb) and Eric Atkins (16 pts, 4 ast, 5 reb) led the way for the Irish in the victory.  Notre Dame's big man, Garrick Sherman, played despite having chipped bone in his right hand and struggled to get going for most of the game.  Sherman ended up with 8 points and 5 rebounds, well below his season averages.

Perhaps the big news from Sunday was the ACC acknowledging a mistake was made with a possession arrow in the Duke/Maryland game.

“A miscommunication occurred between the officials and the table crew at last night’s Maryland at Duke game,” Karl Hicks said in a statement released by the league. “The administrative error happened in the second half at the 16:58 mark when a jump ball was not registered, which resulted in Duke receiving consecutive possessions. The matter has been and will be handled internally by the league office.”

The league spokesperson also said that the outcome of the game could not be changed as a result of the error.

Tonight, UNC travels to Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles.  The Heels have slid into the 4 spot in the ACC standings for the moment which would allow them to have a double-bye in the ACC tournament.  Of course, tonight should provide a good test for North Carolina as both Vegas and Game Sim are predicting a FSU win.  The game tips at 7 and is televised on ESPN.
