The ACC went undefeated on the opening night of college basketball. As with most weekends, posts will be short, so let's go with some quick thoughts from last night's action.
- Georgia Tech and Louisville pulled out the best wins of the day over Georgia and Minnesota, respectively.
- Duke had their 4 freshmen lead them in scoring.
- BC showed off a new commitment to defense in their win over Hampshire.
- UNC looked a bit rusty, but part of that was due to a NCCU team coming off of a NCAA tourney bid that made life difficult.
- UVA had no problems without London Perrantes
- Pitt managed to beat Niagara after finding out Durand Johnson is suspended for the season.
- Cat Barber, Montrezl Harrell, Devin Thomas, Trevor Lacey, Quinton Stephens, Rakeem Christmas, Aaron Brown, and Charles Mitchell all put up 20+ points. Harrell went for 30.
Today, FSU takes on Manhattan, while Duke hosts Fairfield. Check out the links, box scores, and more below.
