The much anticipated debut of Harry Giles finally happened in Duke's lackluster 10 point win over Tennessee State. Giles played 4 minutes and his only mark in the box score was a missed field goal. Giles hasn't played a game in 13 months so its no surprise that his collegiate debut was just a small step. We'll get another look at him on Wednesday when Duke takes on Elon. In the game, it should be no surprise by now that Luke Kennard led the way with 24 points.
Elsewhere, Syracuse won big putting every major rotation player in double-figures, but lost Tyler Lydon to a strained achilles. Notre Dame beat Colgate, although the Irish weren't as sharp as usual. The best moment of the night happened outside the game, check out the video below to see what I'm talking about. Speaking of not being sharp, FSU played a matinee against Samford and the Noles won despite struggling against a lesser opponent.
Tonight, Georgia Tech takes on Georgia and Virginia Tech gets Charleston Southern.
