ACC Football gets solid television exposure in first 3 weeks of season

It was going to be interesting to see how ABC/ESPN was going televise the ACC with the Big 10 not being in the picture.

I think we already see it benefitting the ACC with better exposure.

North Carolina vs South Carolina getting a primetime Saturday night slot on ABC on 9/2. Then on 9/9 ABC featuring NC State vs Notre Dame and then Miami and Texas A&M. On 9/16 an ACC vs ACC game Florida State vs Boston College is on ABC, then Pittsburgh vs West Virginia is on primetime ABC.

We still don’t see many ACC games on ESPN, but the number of games on ABC is certainly a positive. We haven’t even talked about the exclusive TV window games like Duke vs Clemson on Labor Day, Florida State vs LSU the previous Sunday night, and Georgia Tech vs Louisville on that Friday night.

And just relax if the ACC has a game on the ACCN. The network has full distribution virtually as much the SECN or BIG 10 network.

From an exposure point of view, this is pretty solid for the ACC to start the season.
