Well, there you have it first reported by Pete Thamel. It seems we are well on our way to the 12 Team Playoff. I’ll be honest I’ll always prefer the Bowls and +1 system, but for now where are in college football this is the right decision.
It slows the Big 10 SEC exclusive playoff potential, Notre Dame will stay independent, and it opens up the possibility of performance-based bonus opportunities, especially in the ACC. It will be a tremendous financial windfall, and I see no issue with rewarding an ACC team with a bonus. The media deal should stay equal, but I’m ok here.
