On Sunday Virginia was the only team in action and the Cavaliers took care of a decent Wofford team 74-39. Mike Tobey led the way with 19 points while Akil Mitchell and Joe Harris each added 15 points a piece in the win.
The other news from yesterday was this report from CBS Sports that Miami's Reggie Johnson will miss the next 6 weeks with a broken thumb. The Hurricanes were 5-0 when they had their starting lineup in tact, but just 3-3 with either Durand Scott or Reggie Johnson out of the lineup. Last week Miami lost to Arizona and Indiana State with Johnson sitting. Miami plays La Salle on Wednesday and opens conference play with Georgia Tech on Saturday. If Johnson misses 6 weeks, he would miss around 10 of Miami's ACC conference matchups.
