Before the season, the ACC Digital Network asked the four newest coaches in the ACC about their thoughts on getting the chance to coach in the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time. All of them have history with the tournament with Virginia Ryan Odom's dad having won the ACC Tournament while coaching Wake Forest, Florida State's Luke Loucks won the tournament as an FSU player, NC State's Will Wade is a Clemson alum and started his coaching career as a Clemson graduate assistant, and Miami's Jai Lucas was an assistant coach at Duke for the past several seasons. Louisville shot 61.1% from the floor during the game, including 12-24 from three-point range. Wooley finished the game with 15 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Louisville's Ryan Conwell made four three-pointers and scored a team-high 24 points. Miami's Tre Donaldson had 25 points, six assists, and two steals. Malik Reneau added 18 points and five rebounds.
