The SMU Mustangs earned their biggest win as a program in decades by knocking off the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes in overtime, 26-20. Ahmaad Moses secured his 2nd interception of the day to keep the Hurricanes from posting any points on their first overtime possession, and the Mustangs' offense then got a short TD run from T.J. Harden to seal the deal. Kevin Jennings had another fantastic, tough, gritty game for the Ponies, finishing with 365 yards on 29-44 passing with a TD pass and a TD run. Jordan Hudson was Jennings' main target, racking up 11 catches for 136 yards in the win. Carson Beck fought hard as he led the Hurricanes, finishing with 291 total yards on 26-38 passing with 2 TDs and 2 interceptions.
