Last Power Rankings from 11/30
- Duke: The Blue Devils stay at the top despite the loss at Wisconsin. The Blue Devils did see the return of Mason Plumlee, but Plumlee made little impact in his first two games. Look for the younger Plumlee to be in a more featured role against Gardner-Webb next week.
- UNC: The win against Michigan State outweighs the bad first 10 minutes against Kentucky and keeps the Heels at #2 on the list.
- Clemson: Lets just forget that second half versus Illinois, the Tigers did as they bounced back with a win against South Carolina yesterday.
- Boston College: From #12 in our last rankings to #4, BC has had three solid wins (@ Providence, @ MIchigan, and Miami) in a row. BC is hopeful that they will see Rakim Sanders return in the next week.
- Wake Forest: The first half at Purdue was impressive, but Wake Forest looked like a young team in the second half. Against Gonzaga though, Wake was composed and surprisingly were led by freshmen Ari Stewart and CJ Harris. Wake could move up these rankings quickly.
- Miami: The Canes are a better team than they showed in the first 25 minutes against Boston College. The main question I have is where did Dwayne Collins go during the BC game? Collins finished with 4 points and 1 rebound in 18 minutes of action.
- Georgia Tech: The lone team that didn't participate in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge, Georgia Tech took care of business against Siena and USC this week. The bad news is that the Yellow Jackets lost Iman Shumpert for 3-6 weeks.
- Virginia Tech: The Hokies beat Iowa and Georgia this week, and saw the return of freshman Cadarian Raines. Seth Greenberg has been praising the potential of Raines on Twitter, but it should take some time for the freshman to get acclimated.
- FSU: The Noles lost by 13 at Ohio State and beat FIU by 20 but turnovers are still a concern. The Noles turned the ball over on over 20% of their possessions in both games.
- Maryland: Maryland has played a tough schedule thus far, but hasn't beat a good team yet. The Terps lost to Villanova last night by 9 dropping them to 5-3 on the season.
- NC State: The Pack lost at home to Northwestern and got an impressive win at Marquette after trailing by double figures at half.
- Virginia: UVA went 0-1 with a 3 point loss at home to Penn State. The good news for UVA is Jamil Tucker should be back in action tonight against Auburn.
