Friday ACC exhibition action recaps

There were six ACC schools in exhibition action on Friday night including Syracuse and UNC.  Let's look into how they performed.

UNC 82 UNC Pembroke 63

UNC played without PJ Hairston, Leslie McDonald, and JP Tokoto and managed still win by 19 points.  James Michael McAdoo led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Syracuse 79 Holy Family 41

CJ Fair scored 13 points and added 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Orange to victory.  Frosh Tyler Ennis added 12 points and 3 assists and Jerami Grant added 13 points off the bench. Syracuse dominated the boards with 3 players grabbing at least 9 rebounds and boasted a 55-37 rebound advantage.

Wake Forest 93 Brevard 66

Coron Williams scored 24 points, including 6 three-pointers to lead the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to a 93-66 exhibition victory over the Brevard Tornados at Joel Coliseum on Friday. The Deacons overcame a slow start that saw them clinging to an 18-14 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining in the first half.  Read More

Pittsburgh 96 Slippery Rock 60

Durand Johnson led Pitt with 21 points and Cameron Wright added 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Pitt to the 96-60 victory.

Georgia Tech 90 Young Harris 53

Box Score

Seven Georgia Tech players scored at least 9 points led by Robert Carter's 13 points.  The Yellow Jackets dominated the boards grabbing half of their own misses.  Quinton Stephens was the standout on the boards, grabbing an impressive 16 rebounds.  Transfer, Trae Golden, started at the point and finished with 12 points and 3 assists.

Notre Dame 93 Tusculum 44

Box Score

Eric Atkins led the Irish with 21 points, while Garrick Sherman added 12 points and 13 rebounds.  The Irish held Tusculum to an eFG% of just 26% while Notre Dame posted an offensive efficiency of nearly 130.
