Last Week: 5-1  Overall: 71-24

Virginia vs. Miami

With the way Miami has played of late, Virginia has more of a shot to win this game than people realize, especially when you factor in that Virginia has won three straight against Miami. I still think Miami is the more superior team, even with all of the injuries they have suffered. I think this game could go back and forth early, but I think Dallas Crawford will have a big game on the ground, and Miami will win. Miami 30, Virginia 17

Old Dominion vs. North Carolina

The Monarchs are completing their first season as a FBS member here. They have eight wins, but only one against a FBS school. This is actually their third game against an ACC school this year. They were blown out by Maryland, and gave Pitt a good game, losing by 11. But UNC is on a roll of late, winning their last four behind a much improved defense. That much improved defense, along with Marquise Williams, will help carry the Heels to bowl eligibility. North Carolina 38, Old Dominion 17

Duke vs. Wake Forest

I know what you're thinking too. Duke still has a shot at 10 wins? This is not a dream folks. It could happen. And they will take that next step here. Even though I think Wake Forest will put up some points, I don't see how Wake Forest can score enough to keep up with Duke, and the Blue Devils offense is too much of a well oiled machine for the Deacs to stop. Duke will win on the road. Duke 31, Wake Forest 21

Citadel vs. Clemson

I was surprised to see a line on this game at just 42. But that probably factors in that Clemson will barely try in this game. Perhaps Vegas is factoring in the look ahead factor here with South Carolina on deck. The Bulldogs are finishing their season with this game, and they are 5-6 to this point. But we can go ahead and make it 5-7. Clemson will have this wrapped up early. Clemson 59, Citadel 7

East Carolina vs. NC State

Who would have thought that heading in to the 11th game of the season that East Carolina is the one team here with a win against an ACC foe? The Pirates have eight wins on the season, and have scored 121 points in the last two games. The Wolfpack have not won a game since September, and have averaged 34 points allowed during their current six game losing streak. We can make that seven, as Shane Carden will have a monster day through the air, leading the Pirates to the win. East Carolina 38, NC State 20

Pittsburgh vs. Syracuse

There is an incentive to watch this game more than others this week. The winner of this game is bowl eligible. This is a hard game to pick. I don't trust Syracuse's passing game, but I do like their running game. I do like Pitt's passing game as long as Tom Savage can stay upright, and that has been a problem this year. I lean towards Syracuse here because they are at home, and I think they will control the clock with the running game. Syracuse 27, Pitt 24

Alabama A&M vs. Georgia Tech

There is not much reason to watch this game, unless you are a Georgia Tech fan. Alabama A&M is a 4-7 team finishing its season out here. They have lost to a Division II school earlier in the season, and will pose little to no threat here. I would expect Vad Lee and the starters to sit out most of the second half, and see the Yellow Jackets cruise. Georgia Tech 66, Alabama A&M 3

Idaho vs. Florida State

Once again, another game you won't have to pay much attention to. The only question here is how soon Florida State reaches the 57 point spread, which could happen before halftime if they really tried. I don't expect Jameis Winston to be out there much of the game, which is a good thing considering Florida is the next opponent. Idaho is a 1-9 team who has allowed less than 37 points in a game once. This game will be an absolute laugher. Florida State 77, Idaho 0

Boston College vs. Maryland

There are few people out there that thought both teams would be bowl eligible at this point, but both teams have done great jobs of turning seasons around after getting off to slow starts. The Eagles will obviously need to run the ball a lot successfully to win this game, and I don't think C.J. Brown and the Maryland offense will be able to keep up up with this running game. I'll go with the Eagles on the road to get their seventh win of the year. Boston College 28, Maryland 24
